Melody Wiggins – Director
Melody is a graduate of Appalachian State University. She has been a Director in the Parks and Recreation profession for 27 years. Melody became the Director of Recreation and Parks in Graham in 1995. Since then she has supervised the growth and expansion of the recreation and parks department. She has received numerous grants over the years for capital improvements and programming, thereby increasing new and renovating current programs and facilities. Under her leadership, the department has grown into a vital resource to the community. Melody holds a national parks and recreation certification.

Brian Faucette – Program Supervisor
Brian is a native of Graham and graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. He has served the department as Center Supervisor and is currently a Program Supervisor. Brian currently is responsible for the annual Fire & Ice Synthetic Ice Skating Rink, Thursday @ Seven and First Friday concert series, Movies in the Park, Monster Dash 5K/10K, Run for the Haw! 5K/10K, Summer Day Camp and Intersession Day Camp. He assists with Alamance/Burlington Senior Games and various Haw River programs. Brian manages Maple Street Center and is responsible for booking the facility. Vicky Braniff, CPRP – Recreation Center Supervisor
Vicky is a graduate of UNC-Wilmington. She came to Graham after serving as Athletics Coordinator and Special Olympics Coordinator for Wilmington Parks and Recreation. She is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional. Vicky handles the management and supervision of the Graham Recreation Center as well as reservations and rentals for the Graham Recreation Center, Graham Civic Center, South Graham Park and Bill Cooke Park. Aaron Davis, Athletic Supervisor
Aaron is a native of Illinois and a graduate of Grand View University with degrees in Health Promotion and Sports Management . He joined the Graham Recreation and Parks Dept. after serving as Recreation/Athletics Coordinator for Nash County Parks and Recreation. Aaron coordinates year round youth sports, including baseball, softball, spring & fall soccer, t-ball, football, and basketball. He also coordinates various youth summer athletic camps as manages all athletic facilities. To reserve athletic fields managed by the City of Graham, contact Aaron.

Carlyn Sautter – Program Supervisor
Carlyn is a native of Greensboro and a graduate of Appalachian State University, with degrees in Recreation Management and Communication. Carlyn is responsible for multiple programs, including Fall and Spring Graham Walks, Youth Fishing Derby, Halloween Carnival, Community Campfires, Graham Sports Hall of Fame, Easter, and GRPD Cheerleading. She assists with the Monster Dash 5K/10K , Run for the Haw! 5K/10K, Fire and Ice, and Movies in the Park. Carlyn handles department marketing.

Tel Fehlhafer – Athletic Field Superintendent
Tel, known as the “Turf Dr.”, is a native of Illinois and graduate of University of Tennessee, with a degree in Sports Turf Management. Tel is responsible for the maintenance and preparation of all the City’s Athletic Fields as well as the Athletic Fields at the Graham Middle School complex. Tel’s previous work experience includes working as the assistant groundskeeper for a professional baseball organization and was a head golf course superintendent for a semi/private golf course.

Steve Hadden – Lake Warden
Steve is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. Before coming to Graham-Mebane Lake, Steve worked for the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. As Warden, Steve manages Lake operations and enforces Lake regulations. Graham-Mebane Lake hosts numerous fishing and ski tournaments throughout the year as well as daily boating and bank fishing.

The Recreation Commission is made up of 6 appointed members and is intended to act as the recreation liaison between the citizens of the city, Graham City Council, and the staff of the Recreation and Parks Department. Their primary function is to recommend policies and programs to the Recreation Director and Graham City Council within the scope of responsibilities as outlined in town ordinances. Recreation Commission members also provide input and guidance on the development of long range plans for the Department including direction on program offerings and the development of recreational facilities.
