Jimmy LinensMayor Pro Tem Jimmy Linens was elected by the citizens of Graham to serve on the City Council in 2005 and again in 2009. While serving on the City Council he was appointed to serve as Mayor Pro Tem by the City Council in 2005, 2007 and 2009.

Mayor Pro Tem Linens has lived in Graham for over 35 years and graduated from Graham High School in 1961 and attended Alamance Community College. Mayor Pro Tem Linens worked at Burlington Industries for almost 10 years, then Kayser-Roth as a purchasing agent for 10 years and was a self-employed Nationwide Insurance Agent for 30 years until retiring on December 31, 2008.

Mayor Pro Tem Linens has been married for 46 years to Millicent Basden Linens and has 3 daughters; Meagan Long, Deanna Wyatt and Sharon Wyatt; and has 7 grandchildren. Mayor Pro Tem Linens loves being with his family and working in the yard and garden. He is a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church of Graham and is a member of the Graham Optimist Club.
