The mission of the Graham Recreation and Parks Department is to create a meaningful recreation and parks system that provides quality leisure services, promotes the health of the community, natural environment and local economy and strengthens the diversity of the city of Graham. The Department does this by actively involving citizens in the provision of services, partnering with other local government agencies to develop park facilities and specific recreation programs and by safely maintaining the park facilities under its direction. A 7-member Recreation Commission Board also guides it.

Also, the City of Graham has partnered with Alamance Community College (ACC) to offer the Graham community affordable and convenient internet-based courses.  The program offers hundreds of courses ranging from accounting, personal development to web design.  Ed 2 Go of ACC has expert instructors who understand the challenges of life both personal and professional.
