DESCRIPTION:Graham-Mebane Lake Bass Tournament \nDate: Saturday\, March 25\, 2023\nTimes: The gate opens at 7:00am\, the mandatory meeting at 7:30am\, and the launch will follow. The tournament begins at 8:00am\, and all boats return by 3:00pm for weigh-in.\nAges: 16 & older (at least one entrant per boat must be age 16 or older)\nCost: $100 per boat\, 1 or 2 people (maximum of 2 people per boat) • $110 same-day registration\nLocation: Graham-Mebane Lake • 3218 Bason Road\, Mebane\, NC 27302\nDetails: Pre-registration begins in person on (Date: Saturday\, March 11) at the marina at 3:00pm. First come\, first served. 75% Payout to the top three spots. 100% Big Fish Payout will cost an additional $10 per boat. All prizes/payouts will be awarded by check\, mailed from Graham City Hall on the following Thursday. Space is limited\, 20 boats maximum. Poems can be submitted by email (arbordayingraham@gmail.com) or dropped off at Alamance Arts\, Graham Recreation Center\, and City Hall beginning March 1 and will be due no later than March 31. Young poets are asked to turn on their creativity and “write a poem about a tree(s)”. \nParticipants must live in Alamance County and include the poet’s name and grade\, parent/guardian’s name\, phone number\, email\, and city on the back of the submission\, and if they are available to attend the Arbor Day in Graham’s Tree Planting Ceremony (04/28)\, attendance is not required. One submission per person is allowed. The City of Graham Appearance Commission & Tree Board will choose the three winners at their April meeting (04/03) and winner will be recognized at the Arbor Day in Graham’s Tree Planting Ceremony (04/28) with the opportunity to read their poem. Winners will receive recognition on social media and a special certificate from the City of Graham. Special thanks to the Graham Cinema\, Painted Grape\, and 64 Harvard for donating prizes for the contest. \nFollowing the Arbor Day Poem Contest\, all poems will be on display on the Arbor Day in Graham webpage.
