The event will also feature a non-competitive 1-mile run/walk\, a Runner Services station located in the fire bays\, a Touch A Truck area\, games\, and music with a DJ. This is a community event and is open to all to participate!\n\nThe First Responders Team Cup 5K invites first responders (Fire\, Police\, EMS\, and Military) to register as a team. For participants looking to participate in the 5K run/walk\, but wanting a shorter distance\, we invite you to register for the Non-Competitive 1-Mile Run/Walk.\n\nDonations will be collected for the Children of Fallen Heroes organization\, which provides support and immediate needs for children of First Responders and Military fallen heroes through partnerships and donations. Because of the community’s help\, they help make a positive difference in their lives and the surviving spouses.\n\nCarpooling is recommended. This event is rain or shine. DESCRIPTION:The Alamance Adventure Race is back in 2024…a county-wide event that takes place over 12 hours. This is the 4th year of this event! Using an app\, teams will go to hundreds of checkpoints around the county to complete different and unique challenges. Challenges will have varying point values based on location\, challenge level\, and incentive. The team that finishes the event with the most points wins. Prizes will be given to the top 3 teams. In the past\, 26 teams totaled around 100 people participating. Join us on the Challenge Se7en: Paddle Tour\, a 7-mile round-trip kayak paddle tour on Graham-Mebane Lake. Experience more of this breathtaking 650-acre lake than normally seen on our 2-hour paddles. We’ll pass by the old spillway\, cross through the ski area\, and then continue behind the high school and into the quiet waters of Mill Creek. There we have good chances of seeing ducks\, egrets\, herons\, turtles and other wildlife. Mill Creek is our halfway and turnaround point\, so we’ll take a breather\, pictures\, and hydrate there before starting back.
