This evening is presented by the Burlington and Graham Recreation & Parks Departments along with Elon University. \nBryn Lottig\, co-founder of the Kikori app and author of No Child Left Inside: Transforming the Next Generation through Experiential Learning\, is an advocate for transformative education and a leader in Adventure-Based Experiential Education. With over 20 years of experience and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse\, Bryn has used adventure as a powerful tool to help learners of all ages develop social and emotional skills. \nDuring this program\, Bryn will share her insights on using the natural world and experiential education to foster a greater sense of connection\, community\, and social-emotional learning skills. Bryn seeks to “help children learn how to communicate honestly\, deeply connect with those around them\, and foster empathy\, commitment\, and accountability within the community.” Following her talk\, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a conversation and Q&A session with Bryn. She will also sign copies of her book. \nGuests will also have the chance to connect with representatives from local recreation and parks departments to explore park and trail destinations and learn about outdoor program opportunities in the community. \nEnjoy coffee and light refreshments\, community\, and conversation as we explore the transformative power of outdoor education and experiences.
