Graham City Burning Ban

Effective at 8:00am, March 21, 2025, a Burning Ban has been issued for the City of Graham, NC due to high fire danger conditions. This ban is in conjunction with the STATEWIDE BURNING BAN issued by the NC Forestry Service and the COUNTYWIDE BURNING BAN issued by the County Fire Marshal.

Under this ban, absolutely no burning is permitted within the Graham city limits. This includes, but is not limited to, fire pits, natural vegetation fires, and the burning of any material within 100 feet of any occupied dwelling.

Additionally, all burning permits issued by the NC Forestry Service have been canceled until further notice. Violations of this ban may result in fines and court costs as determined by the NC Forestry Service. This burning ban will remain in effect until it is officially lifted by the NC Forestry Service.
