Re: Bank Robbery

On 03/06/19 Officers from the Graham Police Department responded to 832 S. Main St, PNC Bank, in reference to an armed robbery that had already occurred. The suspect, a black female, entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money. She was given an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene in a white mini-van. A short time later the suspect was located in the parking lot of 3890 Brundage Ln. Mebane NC by the Mebane Police Department. The female, Melissa Lynette Rhodes, 41 YOA, of Cary NC was found in possession of the stolen money and accompanying note. She was arrested without incident. Later interviews determined that Ms. Rhodes was also responsible for the robbery that occurred on 02/19/2019 at the Wells Fargo located at 820 S. Fifth St. Mebane NC. She was taken to the Alamance County Jail where she was held under a $125,000 secured bond, for both robberies. We do not have a current booking photo as of the time of this press release. Ms. Rhodes was charged with two counts of common law robbery. I have attached a copy of the surveillance footage from PNC bank.
