Vintage quilts are on display now at the Graham Historical Museum. These are local quilts from Alamance County and the surrounding area, plus a few from out of state. Quilting has been a part of our local heritage since the beginning of settlers moving to the area. See familiar designs such as the Lone Star pattern, Solomon’s puzzle (or Drunkard’s path design), Mariner’s Quilt, Double Wedding Quilt, and others. Fabrics vary from cotton to rayon and wool. This exhibit will be on display from October through the end of December.
The Graham Historical Museum, located at 135 West Elm Street, is open every Friday and Saturday from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
