Can I dispose of building materials, home improvement waste, contractor waste, logs, stumps, masonry, rocks, dirt, tires, liquids, batteries, auto parts, sealed containers, drums, or hazardous waste in my regular trash can?
No, the above items are not collected by the Sanitation Department either because they are banned by the Alamance County Landfill or the weight would be prohibitively expensive for the city to provide. Removal of these items is the sole responsibility of the homeowner.
