Technical Review Committee

Some development projects are complex and thus require more in-depth review. Those developments will be reviewed by the City’s Technical Review Committee (TRC), which include representatives from planning, building inspections, engineering, water, sewer, fire, police and NCDOT. These staff members are responsible for looking over the site plan to insure that projects comply with all development regulations.

Meetings of the TRC are generally held on Monday afternoons at 2pm and applicants are encouraged to attend in order to answer any questions that TRC members may have about the project. All comments from the TRC must be addressed before final approval will be given.
