What is Citizen Alert?

Citizen Alert is a free service from the City of Graham (powered by Everbridge) that sends you real-time notifications about emergencies, weather, road closures, water advisories, and community events. You control how you receive alerts (by text message, email, or phone call) and you decide what information is important to you.

How to Sign Up for Citizen Alert

Member Portal

1. Visit the Citizen Alert membership portal: https://member.everbridge.net/index/76486388220055

2. Click ‘Get Started’ and enter your email or phone number

3. Check the reCAPTCHA box and click ‘Create New Account’

4. Enter your contact information and complete the verification code you receive

5. Complete your profile. For Time Zone, select (GMT-5:00) Eastern Standard Time (America/New_York)

6. Click ‘Complete Alert Setup’ and sign in with your contact information

7. Verify your home address and give it a location name (you can add more locations later)

8. Choose how you want to receive alerts (text, email, or phone call) and order your preferences

9. Select which types of alerts you want to receive (you can change this anytime)

10. Review your information and click ‘Finish’

Everbridge App

Download the Public Safety by Everbridge app for iPhone or Android

If you have an account, launch the app, and click Get Started. Then click Sign In. Once you’ve signed in you will be able to view notifications from the City of Graham via the Notifications Tab.

If you do not have an account and you would like to set up notifications via the mobile app follow the steps below:

1. Launch the Public Safety by Everbridge app

2. Click ‘Get Started’

3. Enter your email or phone number

4. Check the reCAPTCHA box and click ‘Sign Up’

5. Complete the verification code you receive

6. Complete your profile. For Time Zone, select (GMT-5:00) Eastern Standard Time (America/New_York)

7. Click ‘Complete Alert Setup’ and sign in with your contact information

8. On the Follow tab, click Explore and type in City of Graham and click ‘Add’

9. Verify your home address and give it a location name (you can add more locations later)

10. Choose how you want to receive alerts (text, email, or phone call) and order your preferences

11. Select which types of alerts you want to receive (you can change this anytime)

12. Review your information and click ‘Finish’
