On 09/21/2020 a group of demonstrators left the county building after the county commissioners meeting and began walking around court square in downtown Graham. During their walk several small disturbances occurred between the group that was walking and a small group of people who disagree with the other’s message. As a result one subject was issued a citation for disorderly conduct and another has been cited for simple assault. The investigation into other instances is still ongoing and charges are forthcoming. The incident lasted almost two hours when the groups dispersed without further incident. All police units cleared the area at approximately 09:30 PM.
