Unfortunately, due to ongoing drought conditions, Graham Recreation & Parks will be unable to host Slice of Summer, a water-themed festival, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Bill Cooke Park. While we are disappointed to cancel the event, we are taking this opportunity to gather community feedback and reimagine the future of Slice of Summer.
Your input will help us determine the best location, activities, and overall event experience for future years. Complete the survey and be entered to win a prize!
As a thank you for sharing your feedback, all survey participants will be entered into a random drawing for the following prizes:
- Grand Prize: $100 Food Lion Gift Card
- Second Prize: Graham Recreation & Parks Branded Blanket
- Third Prize: Graham Recreation & Parks Branded Blanket
The survey will remain open through Friday, July 3. Winners will be randomly selected and announced on Facebook LIVE on 07/08 at 1:30pm.

NEW! Location: Bill Cooke Park • 1010 Townbranch Road, Graham, NC 27253
Join us for Slice of Summer, a water-themed festival hosted by Graham Recreation & Parks at its new 2026 location, Bill Cooke Park. Slice of Summer was established in 2018 in the streets of downtown Graham. Enjoy food trucks, splashing fun, and giant water fun! This free, family-friendly event is perfect for all ages.
As a reminder, smoking/vaping, pets, and drones are not allowed at this event. (no rain date)
Patrons should wear appropriate clothing for getting wet:
• Be sure to come dressed to be active, to get soaked, and in gear that can withstand the action of the water attractions!
• Quick-dry clothing – shirts and shorts must be worn on all rides/attractions
• Bathing suits are recommended under the cover-ups
• Tennis shoes or water shoes (flip-flops are discouraged)
• Sunscreen
• YOU WILL GET WET!!!
Special Attractions & Fun Features
• NEW! Bubble Zone
• Graham Fire Department’s Super Soaker Zone will feature lessons in fire prevention
• Graham Fire Department’s Explorers selling slices of watermelon ($1 per slice) (tentative)
• Interactive Playgrounds Water Attractions: Wipe-Out Slide, Liquid Magma Slide, Enchanted Forest; Dry Attractions: Go to the Zoo, Animal Ark
• Park & Play Mobile Recreation Area presented by Graham Recreation & Parks
• Sprinkler Zone
• Graham Police Department‘s “Operation Splashdown” Dunking Booth ($5 for 3 balls) – Come dunk your favorite Graham Police Officer – all proceeds will benefit Special Olympics North Carolina – purchase your dunking throws here (coming soon!)
