In the early morning hours of Friday, April 3, 2020, officers responded to Norfolk Village Apartments on Ivey Rd in Graham in reference to a report of a person pulling on vehicle handles in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers were told by the caller that the subject just entered a red pickup truck. When officers approached the pickup truck, the suspect ran, and a foot pursuit took place where ultimately the suspect stopped and surrendered.
Due to the suspect’s age, suspect information is unable to be released. Charges were obtained for one count of larceny of a motor vehicle, three counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, and one count of resisting a public officer. Upon further information, it was determined the suspect was in possession of a locally stolen vehicle.
