Youth Soccer
IMPORTANT NOTICE for all VISA/Mastercard Payments: Effective October 10, 2023, a convenience fee of 2.2% will be charged to all VISA/Mastercard transactions (VISA/Mastercard accepted). Cash and checks are accepted without this fee and can be made in person at the Graham Recreation Center (311 College Street, Graham, NC 27253). Spring Youth Soccer
Registration: December 1, 2024 – February 1, 2025 (click here for step-by-step instructions on how to register)
If this is your child’s first time playing sports with us, please submit your child’s birth certificate. You can bring a copy to the Graham Recreation Center (311 College Street), email a copy to our Youth Athletics Supervisor, or submit online.
Program Dates:
Program Days*: late February through mid-April
5U (ages 4-5): Monday/Wednesday/Saturdays
6U (ages 5-6): Monday/Wednesday/Saturdays
8U (ages 7-8): Monday/Wednesday/Saturdays
10U (ages 9-10): Tuesday/Thursday/Saturdays|14U (ages 11-14): TBD
*Days are subject to change
Ages: 4 – 14 (boys & girls; all teams are co-rec)
The age cut-off is January 1 of the season year.
Fee: $25 (City of Graham Residents), $40 (General Public)
Location: The majority of practices will take place at Bill Cooke Park or at Johnson Avenue Field.
Description of League: The City of Graham Soccer program is designed to teach players the fundamentals of the game while also providing a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience. The Soccer program aims to provide an opportunity for all participants to learn the sport and develop life skills which also creates a lasting love of the game.
At the end of the season players should have an increased understanding and development of the following Soccer skills:
- Dribbling
- Passing
- Receiving
- Shooting
- Spacing and Transition
Equipment Provided: The City of Graham will provide soccer balls and whistles to each team. Coaches are encouraged to seek sponsors that could supply jerseys, although the City of Graham can provide jerseys if necessary.
Equipment Needed: Players will be required to wear cleats and shin guards.
Practices: Practices will begin in February. Below are the projected days that practices and games will be played*:

Game Schedules: Games will begin in March.
Volunteer Opportunities: Coaches are needed for the 2025 Spring Youth Soccer Program. Coaches for Spring Soccer are volunteers (usually parents of players on their respective teams). The City of Graham does not provide coaches. If you wish to volunteer to coach, sign up through CommunityPass or contact the Athletic Supervisor at (336) 570-6718 or by email.
