IMPORTANT NOTICE for all VISA/Mastercard Payments: Effective October 10, 2023, a convenience fee of 2.2% will be charged to all VISA/Mastercard transactions (VISA/Mastercard accepted). Cash and checks are accepted without this fee and can be made in person at the Graham Recreation Center (311 College Street, Graham, NC 27253). COACH NEEDED: A volunteer coach is needed for the 2026 Spring Youth Softball season for the 12U age group. Coaches must be at least 18 years old. Individuals ages 15–17 may volunteer with approval from a legal guardian (verification may be provided by letter, email, or phone call). Youth volunteers will serve as assistant coaches and will not be assigned their own team. Please note: children of head coaches will have their registration fee waived. If this is your child’s first time playing sports with us, please submit your child’s birth certificate. You can bring a copy to the Graham Recreation Center (311 College Street), email a copy to our Youth Athletics Supervisor, or submit it online.

Description of League: The Graham Recreation & Parks Youth Softball program aims to provide young female athletes with a structure that allows us to teach on-field fundamentals while providing a safe, competitive environment. The Youth Softball program also uses the sport to strengthen participants’ self-esteem and confidence, as well as cultivate lasting memories and experiences.
Equipment Provided: Softball bats, helmets, and baseballs will be provided

Schedules: Practice days & times will be determined closer to the start date of practices, once team rosters have been finalized. The season will begin around mid-April and conclude in mid-June.

Volunteer Opportunities: Graham Recreation & Parks relies on volunteer coaches for our organized youth sports leagues. Coaches must be available for weekly practice and games. Each coach is required to submit and pass a background check. It is important that coaches teach sportsmanship as well as specific sports skills.
