In addition to the statewide burn ban, the Alamance County Fire Marshal has issued a total ban on all outdoor burning across ALL of Alamance County, including the City of Graham, effective 5:00 PM on April 15, 2026.
Due to ongoing dry conditions and increased fire risk, ALL open burning is now prohibited, regardless of distance from structures. This is a change from previous guidance.
π« Whatβs NOT allowed:
- Burning within 100 feet of a structure (no longer permitted under any circumstance)
- Fire pits
- Solo stoves and similar appliances
- Any open burning of yard debris or materials
This total burn ban will remain in place **until lifted by the NC Forest Service**.
