The Residential Appearance Award is coming back to Graham neighborhoods this spring. Spring is one of the most rewarding seasons to be a Graham homeowner and the City of Graham wants to celebrate the residents who make our neighborhoods beautiful.
The Residential Appearance Award, presented by the Appearance Commission and Tree Board, recognizes homeowners who demonstrate exceptional pride in their property’s exterior. The program is self-nominated: if you take pride in your home and yard, we encourage you to apply.
What we’re looking for
There is no single definition of a standout property. This award celebrates effort, creativity and pride in all the ways Graham homeowners express them. Eligible features include seasonal landscaping and flower gardens, lawn care and maintenance, exterior painting and upkeep, hardscaping, tree care and overall curb appeal.
How it works
Homeowners submit a self-nomination application, including 2–3 exterior photos. The Appearance Commission/Tree Board review all applications and select a recipient at their June 8, 2026, meeting. The selected recipient will be notified and recognized across City communications channels.
Who can apply
Any City of Graham homeowner or authorized occupant who takes pride in their property’s exterior is eligible and encouraged to apply.
Application window
Applications are accepted May 1–31, 2026.
