Event Management Permitting
To promote success and ensure safety at local events, the City of Graham encourages contact with the Downtown Development Coordinator as a first step in taking your concept from idea to fruition. Currently, application is required for a permit to Demonstrate, Parade, or Picket in accordance with the City of Graham Code of Ordinances Chapter 18 Article VI Sections 18-172 through 18-182 entitled Parade or Demonstration Permit.
Examples of special events include:
- Road Race, Bicycle Race, or Walk
- Festival, Carnival, or Market
- Concert
- Automobile Show
- Demonstration, Parade, or Picket

The City of Graham’s division of Downtown Development and Recreation & Parks strives to provide the community with diverse selection of events and entertainment choices. From musical entertainment to unique street festivals, the City is proud to host events May – December each year.
Graham Area Business Association, Alamance Arts, Court Square Development Group and downtown business owners host annual events complementing the City’s lineup of events.
Together all partners are working towards a calendar full of one of a kind events centered around court square and the complementary streets. FAQ's
The 100 blocks of downtown Graham are turned into a temporary water park, it is suggested you wear bathing suits, sunscreen, and put your personal belongings in water proof protected bags.
Lawn chairs are recommended for you to bring. Coolers are allowed, no glass. No pets. Concerts start at 7pm promptly.
This is a community event featuring inflatables and trick or treating at participating locations.
The best place to view the parade is along the parade route (North Main, around West side of court square, and South Main). Be sure and dress warm and arrive early.
